Slayaway Camp is an unusual turn-based logic game developed by an independent studio called Blue Wizard Digital. When working on their game, the developers have drawn their inspirations from the 1980s horror movies and at the same decided to mock their cheesy themes. The player assumes the role of a psychopathic murderer tasked with killing the teenagers who relax on their summer holidays. The maps are relatively small and composed of square fields.

An advanced chess simulator adapted to support VR headsets. Chess Ultra allows us to compete against other players or AI that offers ten difficulty levels, which determine how many moves can the computer read in advance and the probability of it making a mistake. The action is observed from the first-person perspective. We can learn both the basics and advanced strategies in the tutorial. In total, the developers prepared eighty chess challenges (e.g. winning a game within seven turns).

A logic game than enables the player to assume the role of the constructor of ski lifts, ski jumps and bridges. The developers from Huge Calf created a series of usually pretty but hard tasks. The maps aren’t large, but they are filled with hills, holes and high trees that make the task harder. Limited budget and weak construction elements are an additional trouble. Because of all that, in Carried Away the player must be very clever to create a safe and cheap lift.

We participate in turn-based one-on-one fights, during which we use our own card decks with pictures of characters and enemies known from other entries in this series (such as Huser from Dragon Quest X or Camus and Martin from Dragon Quest XI) – each of the characters has their unique abilities and using them is the key to success.

The game takes place in the Horribilorum Sorcery Academy, and your task is to brew increasingly complicated potions. To succeed, you have to follow the instructions and choose the right ingredients. When you clear one of them, just like in any other match-3 game, the ones above them fall down, often diametrically changing the whole board.

Each of its pages is a new world built entirely of clay. In-game levels offer a variety of action/logic challenges, most of which are based on the physics of objects – the engine mimics the movement of clay objects quite realistically.

ChromaGun is a first-person puzzle game in which the player has to use his knowledge of basic colours and derivatives in order to cope with increasingly difficult challenges. The title rifle can colour elements of the environment and enemies, giving them specific properties. Each test room teaches us simple mechanics, which are then combined into complex series of activities requiring more thought and a bit of dexterity.

Combined with the subject chosen by the developers, all of that creates an intriguing game. Where Cards Fall focuses on the process of growing up and on the effects of one's youth on the adult life.

The main protagonist of Gorogoa is a boy who collects mysterious items related to religion. The story of the game is filled with symbols and abstract references to faiths from all over the world. The key aspect of gameplay is solving riddles that take the form of movable puzzles that consist of up to four scenes.

An upgraded version of Chime – a well-received mix of a logic and a rhythm game released in 2010. The new edition does not differ much from its predecessor – we are given a grid that is gradually filled with player-inserted blocks creating quads – rectangle and square shaped fields that are at least 3x3 in size. Completed figures unlock the further parts of the music track that accompany our actions.

She Remembered Caterpillars is a isometric 2D puzzle game developed by Ysbryd Games. She Remembered Caterpillars takes us to a weird world where we have to find our missing father. A bigger emphasis, however, is put on the gameplay mechanics (manipulating the colors), not the plot. During the game we will control colorful creatures that move around small maps and can only cross bridges that are of the same color as them.

The player directs a character trapped in a diabolic game, and his task is to get out and save his soul. Pony Island stands out mainly due to its gameplay. There are typical arcade sequences in the game, but it is much more important to be able to interfere with the code of a fictional application, which takes the form of simple logical games.

The action is presented from the first-person perspective, while the gameplay boils down to solving numerous escape-room kind of puzzles. While playing, we have to, for example, disable explosives or neutralize various kinds of traps. The protagonist’s telekinetic abilities will surely come in handy.
