Phase: Exodus is a three-dimensional role-playing game with a strong admixture of tactical and strategic elements. The action of the game takes place on Earth around 2062. In the future our Green Planet was surprised by a huge cataclysm. As a result of an unexpected change of the orbit, the existing civilization has been destroyed. Only those who managed to save themselves in time from the impending catastrophe survived. Later, the survivors again populated the whole planet, creating new structures and social groups.

The action was set in the western regions of Siberia, near the famous Lake Baikal. The player is thrown into the very middle of the conflict that broke out between the local factions. In Phase: Exodus there are many different organizations fighting for power, with two key roles: The Foundation and Station 12/5. In addition, there are numerous mutants that normal people have expelled from their occupied territories to the so-called "Zone". They are individuals who, as a result of radiation and other unforeseen consequences of the catastrophe, have turned into terrible monsters. People over the years have almost forgotten about mutants found in the Zone, but the other, banished, still remember...

At the very beginning of the game, the player has to choose from among the four available characters, the one in which they played, and then perform the task that the creators of this title have prepared for him. The decisive role in Phase: Exodus is played by elements known from popular RPG games, i.e. the extended story and the development of its hero. There is also an advanced combat module at the player's disposal. Q:E is characterized by high non-linearity of quests. How they can be completed depends, among other things, on the character's setting, appearance, character or simply on choosing a specific dialog line.

The distinguishing feature of the game is the implementation of a completely new "system" of role-playing. It is called APARpS (Advanced Post-Apocalypse Role-play System). He is responsible for many elements of the game, including interaction with NPCs, development of the hero and the degree of control over him during the game.

  • Advanced three-dimensional graphics (the action was shown from the third person's perspective).
  • The appearance and capabilities of a controlled hero depend on many factors, including: main characteristics (divided into two groups: mental and physical), main variables (health, immunity, happiness, maximum lifting capacity, etc.), individual advantages and disadvantages of characters, skills (possibility of their development, divided into several groups) or the distribution of experience gained.
  • The encountered NPCs were divided into two groups. They can influence the plot of the game (e.g. by ordering quests) or have no participation in it (e.g. nameless villagers).
  • Advanced modules of interaction and Artificial Intelligence.
  • High interactivity with the game world (e.g. the ability to construct your own weapons, raise visible objects).
  • In addition to a one-person game, multiplayer gameplay is possible.
  • More than 150 weapons.
