Population Zero is a MMO sandbox survival simulator. The production adopts a science fiction setting and enables the players to explore an unusual, alien and full of various dangers planet. The independent studio Enplex Games is responsible for the creation of this title.

Plot

We start the game as a colonist coming from a lost ship, which ended up on an unknown and dangerous planet. Exploring the world, we gradually get to know its complicated history and we become participants of events straight from a science fiction novel.

Mechanics

The mechanics of the game are similar to most MMO games like DayZ or ARK: Survival Evolved. At the very beginning our hero can't do much, but as the game progresses, we develop their skills, as well as acquire and craft new equipment. Exploration and acquisition of resources play a key role - in the production from Enplex Games they often come from the dangerous creatures that we come across around the world.

An important element of Population Zero is establishing relationships with other players - both friendly and hostile. By working together, we can do more, such as building colonies and gaining access to more advanced technology. Achieving success, however, often requires competing with groups similar to ours - taking over their resources and destroying bases.

Game modes

Population Zero is an online multiplayer game, offering no single player mode.

Technical aspects

Population Zero features interesting visuals. In terms of technology, the game does not compete against leading, high-budget productions, but the original designs of locations and monsters effectively build the atmosphere of a completely alien, unknown place in a distant galaxy, for which the title may be appreciated.
