Princess Crown is a conversion of a game under the same title from the Sega Saturn console. The plot takes us into the world of a fantastic kingdom, which is soon to be ruled by a teenage princess named Gradriel. The little successor to the throne, however, does not like court customs and decides to leave the castle in order to fight the evil that spreads through the land more and more boldly, following the example of her deceased mother.

The program is a cross between an arcade game and a substitute for cRPG, i.e. simply hack & slash. Compared to the original, there were no major changes, the presented text was modified and the sound and image gallery was applied, which was pleasant for the eye and ear. The gameplay is based on exploring new locations, visiting numerous cities, using objects, talking to characters you meet - which you can also meet inside buildings, and of course on defeating ever stronger enemies. All this influences the development of Gradriel, which is symbolized by gaining new levels of experience. The main task is also assisted by other heroes, and the books scattered in the kingdom are used to unlock them. Each of these characters has specific skills and unique side missions.

The combat system looks interesting. When you encounter an undesirable company on the way, the screen of a skirmish is deceptively reminiscent of an old school of Japanese battles. Equilibristic movements of the characters taking part in the clash were combined with the stroke of various light effects. The player also has combinations to surprise his opponents, as well as special blows that require recharging.

Princess Crown is based on a two-dimensional environment. The main eye-catching feature is the sizeable silhouettes of all the characters in the game. The music used bears traces of orchestral sound.
