In 2014, a humorous point-and-click adventure game titled Randal’s Monday was released on PCs (and in 2016 on PlayStation 4), with a storyline inspired by films like Groundhog Day. Years later, the team at Nexus Game Studios behind it decided to collaborated with Nuclear Tales. The result of this cooperation is the prequel described here, titled Randal’s Tuesday.

Gameplay

In Randal’s Tuesday events are viewed from the side.

Adventure at the university

The game takes place at a university, where we take control of three students, switching between them at preset moments. The titular Randal and his friends, Matt and Charlie, have access to unique locations, items, and abilities, engage in conversations in their distinctive styles, and face individual challenges.

Student Investigations

While conducting the investigations, the protagonists talk to other students, attend classes, and take exams (of course, using cheat sheets), as well as participate in more interesting events like drinking beer from a keg while doing a handstand, attending a spring ball, or playing an RPG game with university nerds. Complementing all this are items waiting to be collected, among which illegal copies of hits like Last Fantasy VII or Plastic Gear Solid take the lead.
