Sally's Law is a platform logic game based on simple but satisfying mechanics, in which we take control of a young girl trying to return home to see her seriously ill father. The independent developer Nanali Studios is responsible for creating this production.
The so-called Sally's law is the opposite of the infamous Murphy's law - it symbolizes a very happy, breakthrough moment when suddenly everything in someone's life seems to fit together and arrange as it should. The story presented in Sally's Law refers precisely to this idea of extraordinary, supernatural happiness. Playing the title role of Sally, we discover the story of her father and try to help her return home. During our protagonist's journey, she seems to be extremely lucky - the dangers remove themselves from her path. But is Sally's luck really just a coincidence?
Sally's Law is a two-dimensional platform logic game, in which the action is observed from the side. While traveling through the locations, we discover the story prepared by the artists and solve simple logic puzzles.
In comparison to other productions belonging to this genre, the game from Nanali is distinguished by several characteristic mechanics. First of all, the way Sally moves is unusual - our heroine doesn't walk but rolls forward like a billiard ball (but we also have the possibility of jumping). Secondly, we repeat each of the boards, playing as the spirit of the girl's father and removing dangerous obstacles from her path - thus it is our actions that are really responsible for Sally's supernatural happiness, to which the title of the game refers.
Sally's Law features two-dimensional retro visuals. Both the characters and colorful locations cannot be denied a certain charm, which is achieved through an unusual artistic design, based mainly on simple shapes - circles, rectangles, and squares, as well as expressive, harmonic colors.
