An adventure-cycling game with a third person camera, developed by Messhof studio. In Wheel World we play as a female cyclist Kat, chosen by the ancient cycling spirits to save the world. We explore a semi-open map, meeting other characters and participating in various activities (including races).
Wheel World (originally announced under the title Ghost Bike) is a third-person perspective (TPP) adventure and arcade game dedicated to cycling. Its development was done by Messhof studio, founded in 2013 by Mark Essen and Kristy Norindr. The Annapurna Interactive company took care of its release.
The main premise of the gameplay in Wheel World is the exploration of the semi-open game world and taking on various challenges. They include races (both "back alley" and higher level), testing our skills. Along the way, we encounter many colorful NPCs - from crazy fans to troublesome tourists or all sorts of cyclists.
As we progress, we can improve and customize our bike to individual needs and preferences. Using components scattered around the locations, we gradually turn it into a road speed demon or an off-road monster.
In Wheel World we play as a cyclist named Kat, who was chosen by ancient cycling spirits. Her task is to collect the stolen Legendary Bicycle Parts and perform the ritual of the Great Gear Shift. All of this to save the world around her (the titular Wheel World) from disaster.
Wheel World has a stylized visual setting. The soundtrack for the game was developed by artists from the music label Italians Do It Better.

Game Ratings for Wheel World Video Game.
VDGMS: 8 / 10 by Darren Andrew
Once I started playing Wheel World, a wave of nostalgia hit me as I quickly realized that it’s a modern version of Road Rash. Where most attempts have tried to emulate the formula and failed, Wheel World unintentionally captures the essence of what made Road Rash beloved and succeeds by modernizing it. Wheel World is a casual and addictive arcade racer on two wheels. To put it simply, Wheel World is Road Rash for the modern generation. Instead of motorcycles, whips and rock music, Wheel World is about bikes, changing components, drafting, and indie electronic accented by the beautiful sounds of nature. While it mostly brings along the best qualities of the classic two wheel racer, it unfortunately carries some of the shortcomings as well.
WellPlayed: 5.5 / 10 by Josefina Huq
Wheel World is an enjoyable enough game that gets right to the point of riding a bike and saving the world. The cycling challenges and narrative require nothing but a desire to work away at customising your bike to best go up and down hills, slide around corners, and jump ramps. While its creativity and riding mechanics are minimal, its vibe-based world is perfect for a casual player who likes the premise of a bike-based society.
