Shadowplay: Journey to Wonderland is the work of the Polish Desert Fox Software studio, known for such productions as Srututu: Forgotten Foe. This time the source of inspiration for the development team led by Robert Gasiorowski became one of the classics of literature - Alice in Lewis Carroll's Wonderland.

The loosely outlined plot of the game is not a faithful adaptation of the book's original. The player gets to know the adventures of little Alice, who, following a new friend, a rabbit, ends up in a rabbit burrow, which leads to the title Wonderland.

The game is maintained in the convention of classic, dexterity 2D platformer. The game is about passing through levels, overcoming obstacles and avoiding traps and enemies. On the way you should also collect stars and cards, which allows you to improve your score.

The game features an extremely simple control system with just a few keys on the keyboard. The difficulty level of the game is also not particularly demanding, which allows less experienced players to have fun, too.

Shadowplay: Journey to Wonderland is distinguished by its unconventional visual setting. Two-dimensional graphics in shades of grey are stylized on a shadow theatre (even the characters move on sticks). The soundtrack in the game is filled with songs composed by Kevin MacLeod.
