Silent Hill is a series of action adventure games of the survival horror genre, which is one of the most popular brands of Konami - a Japanese developer and publisher, also responsible for the creation of such series as Metal Gear, Pro Evolution Soccer (currently eFootball), and Castlevania. The first game in the series was released in 1999 for Sony consoles. On January 31 the game was released in the US, while on March 4 it was released in Japan and on August 1 in Europe.
