Ski Jump Challenge 2001 Description
Realistic ski jumping simulator, allowing players to compete in the World Cup and Four Hills Competition. In the game we create our own player, define his basic features and compete in competitions taking place on sixteen world hills, among others: Lillehammer, Engelberg, Oberstdorf, Innsbruck, Bischofschofen, Salt Lake City, Sapporo, Lahti and Oslo. Each competition starts with qualification jumps, in which the player stands in an inrun against 72 computer opponents. During the season we can develop the skills of our ski jumper with the professional help of four coaches and equip him with better ski equipment.
The realism of ski jumping is at a high level thanks to the use of data provided by the International Ski Federation (FIS). The athletes are judged for distance, jumping style and landing. Once you have developed your skills during training and competitions, you can save your results on a diskette and share them with your friends. Release 2001 has a multiplayer mode that allows up to 16 people to play on a single computer.
