The action takes place in Europe. There are 25 combat missions to undertake, all of which were inspired by heroic deeds of soldiers from Great Britain, the United States, Russia and Germany. High-quality 3D graphics with carefully modeled and partially or completely destructible environment elements is a big advantage. Apart from that, the game offers:

  • Direct control over target selection.
  • Depending on where you hit, you may instakill a soldier with a headshot or immobilize a tank by destroying its track.
  • Realistic trajectory of the fired bullets.
  • Advanced enemy AI that makes the opponent attack in groups, organize ambushes, retreating if in danger, etc.
  • Over 100 different soldier animations that enhance the gameplay realism.

Strategy

The first stand-alone expansion for Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. Similarly to its predecessor, the action of the game takes place during World War II – Silent Heroes enables us to assume control of a group of six Soviet saboteurs. The game offers a new campaign consisting of 10 scenarios, involving numerous actions behind the German lines. The unit’s tour of duty includes assassinations of enemy officers, destroying radars, or taking over strategic locations. Elite Troops of WWII is characteristic for its engine, well-suited to the character of the gameplay – each object can serve as a hideout or an ambush location, while our units can make use of an extensive arsenal, including knives, pistols, or rifles. We are also given the ability to control certain vehicles and armament in order to use them during numerous clashes. Aside from numerous fixes that were introduced following the release of the original game, the authors have decided upon small updates to graphics and sound effects.
