Sophonce

In the 1990s there was a belief that the story plot was just an addition to the gameplay in the games from the shooter genre. Over time, this began to change, and FPS titles started to tell more complex and deeper stories. Sophonce, created by an independent developer Sameer Hirezi, is one of the games that follow this path, allowing us to both fight opponents and ponder philosophical issues.

Gameplay

In Sophonce we watch the action from the first-person perspective (FPP).

Difficult journey

During the game, we explore futuristic locations and carry out assigned missions, eliminating hordes of enemies along the way. We encounter hostile machines and we have to fight them, making use of a wide range of weapons and combat abilities.

Arsenal and skills

The game provides us with weapons like a pistol or a machine gun. How a given weapon works is largely determined by the ammunition we load into it. Among the available projectiles, we can find incendiary, gravitational, or stunning rounds. Additionally, we can use telekinesis or slow down the passage of time.
