Simple arcade game, which is a copy of the famous mobile hit Flappy Bird. Playing is about avoiding contact with thorns, protruding from the top and bottom of the screen. The insect controlled by us rises into the air at the push of a button to start sinking down in a moment, and the player's role is to control the trajectory of the insect flight.
Spikey Walls is a simple, two-dimensional arcade game, quite faithful copy of one of the most popular mobile games of 2014, Flappy Bird. The title is available through the Nintendo eShop, and its creation is the responsibility of independent American studio RCMADIAX.
In the game we take control of the inconspicuous black midge, constantly moving to the right, and our task is to avoid contact with the barbed studs that grow at the bottom and top of the screen. We do this by controlling the flight trajectory of the fly: at each press of a button, the insect flies into the air to start falling down in a moment. The whole difficulty is the need to fit between the protruding spikes, and these distances decrease with the progress of the game. The aim of the game is simple: fly as far as possible and climb as high as possible in special online rankings of players.
Spikey Walls is characterized by a minimalist graphic design, all in white, brown and black. During the game we are constantly accompanied by a monotonous background consisting of grey bricks of the wall. According to the intention of the authors, it is to symbolize the steadfast character of man and stubbornness, forcing to subsequent attempts and continuous improvement of their achievements.
