Steel Storm: Burning Retribution PC

Shooting is the debut of the Texas-based Kot-in-Action Creative Artel studio. The player sits at the controls of an armed hovercraft and has to destroy everything that moves.

Burning Retribution takes place in an alternative reality in which humanity is waging a great war with an invader from space. Therefore, the battlefields are both desert and urban areas, as well as sceneries straight from the most imaginative sci-fi stories.

The game resembles classic shooting from vending machines from the turn of the 80's and 90's, i.e. we observe the action from the bird's eye view and move our vehicle up the screen. There are also hordes of enemies to eliminate. Burning Retribution offers both a single player and a multiplayer campaign where 16 players can play together in cooperation, deathmatch and capture the flag modes.

We have a total of 10 weapons at our disposal, such as Storm Spread plasma spitters and self-guided rockets. They can be used in different combinations, but we can carry three of them at the same time. Not all weapons are available from the beginning of the game - more and more powerful types are unblocked as the fight progresses.

There is also the so-called power-ups, which help us in the fight. In addition, the shields and armour of your vehicle can be continuously replenished on the battlefield as long as you are skillful enough to move between enemy missiles. From time to time you can find additional life.

Steel Storm is based on DarkPlaces technology, a modification of the first Quake engine for advanced lighting effects and shading. Thanks to these possibilities Steel Storm has been given an eye-catching cartoon graphics using cell-shading.
