The Games: Summer Challenge

An interesting sports game, designed in 1992 by Teque London studio. The product is signed with the name of Carl Lewis - a famous American athlete, who has won ten Olympic medals, including nine of the most precious ore.

The Carl Lewis Challenge game consists of two parts. In the first of them - tactical - we complete the team of ten athletes, and then we send it to a murderous training camp. After completing a series of activities planned in a five-week training cycle (in total you can practice as many as ten different elements), the program presents information about the current disposition of our pupils. At this point, the athletes are assigned to the following disciplines: javelin throw, 100-metre run, 110-metre run over hurdles, up-hill jumping and jumping away. Only five players are allowed to take part in the tournament, so you should choose those who have the highest coefficients to guarantee qualification for the tournament.

In the second part of the game we focus on achieving the best result in each of the above mentioned competition, directly in the athletics stadium. The decisive factor here is dexterity - our player will be able to handle the rehearsal better or worse, depending on how well we will be able to press the appropriate keys. In terms of mechanics, The Carl Lewis Challenge is no different from other similar products in this part of the game.

The game is characterized by a decent for its time graphic design (VGA in 256 colors) and average sound. Noteworthy is the ability to play four people at one computer. In multiplayer mode, each user prepares their own group of athletes, and then tests their skills during the competition.
