The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020 is a narrative horror adventure game. This is the first episode of the second season of The Dark Pictures Anthology. The game was traditionally developed by the Supermassive Games studio, which has not only previous installments of the brand, but also the popular The Quarry and Until Dawn.

Game mechanics

The game is a development of ideas from earlier installments of the series. So we get an adventure game, which focuses mainly on telling an interesting story. We observe the events from a third-person camera, and during the game we explore locations, solve simple puzzles and deal with various arcade challenges.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020 is heavily non-linear, and the plot is shaped by our decisions.

Game mode

The game allows us to play alone or in one of two multiplayer modes. In the case of the latter option, we can play in cooperative mode over the Internet or locally, in the so-called "hot seat", allowing up to five people to play.

Technical aspects

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020 features an attractive three-dimensional graphics. It was made in a cinematic style, and the characters were played by professional actors.
