The Incredible Machine: Even More Contraptions is the fourth fully fledged version of the popular puzzle game, which after a few years of break has once again won the hearts and recognition of players. The game is a direct continuation of the Return of the Incredible Machine released a year earlier and is basically a package of additional tasks to the production of the Dynamix studio in 2000. The publisher of the series is invariably the Sierra company.

The idea of the series is based on the popular in the USA concept of the Goldberg Rube machine. This American cartoonist and inventor believed that most people prefer to achieve their goal in a more difficult way than in the simplest possible way. As in Goldberg's illustrations, the player's task is to construct sophisticated machines that will make it possible to achieve the goals set by the game. In order to do so, we are forced to use the laws of physics and various objects, learning to use their characteristic properties in practice.

Even More Contraptions offers 250 different puzzles to players, of which 50 training levels were taken directly from the previous game. At the beginning we get a relatively modest set of items, such as scissors, ropes, balloons or transmission belts. As the game progresses, newer elements appear in our equipment and the level of complexity of machines and the difficulty of puzzles increases. Usually there is only one way to reach the goal, although thanks to the unpredictability of the behaviour of some objects, sometimes it will be possible to achieve it in an alternative way. Fortunately, in case of problems, we can use a system of hints, which will suggest a solution that will bring us closer to victory.

The mechanics of the game and its audiovisual setting has not changed, which means that The Incredible Machine: Even More Contraptions can be treated as a package of additional tasks to the production of a year ago. Of course, the authors have not forgotten about the multi-person head-to-head mode and the editor, which allows you to prepare your own puzzles. A new feature is the ability to share them with other players through the WonSpaw service.
