An RPG with an open world, developed by iwot Studios from Montreal. The Wheel of Time RPG (working title) takes us to the world created for the books written by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. The world from the game features a battle between the forces of good and evil and the history keeps repeating itself.
The Wheel of Time RPG (working title) is an open-world RPG, based on the series of books titled The Wheel of Time, written by Robert Jordan (and finished by Brandon Sanderson).
The game is currently being developed by iwot Studios from Montreal, previously known as Red Eagle Games. In 2004, rights to the brand for the purposes of films, series, video games and comics were acquired. It also resulted in the creation of a TV series adaptation available on the Amazon Prime Video platform.
The project was announced in April 2025 and it is overseen by Craig Alexander, a veteran of Warner Bros. Games. He is also a developer who has in his portfolio such projects as The Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons & Dragons Online, mobile Game of Thrones, and productions set in the DC Comics universe. Craig Alexander also worked for companies such as Activision, Electronic Arts, and Sierra On-Line.
The game transports us to the universe created for the books, in which good fights against evil, and time circles, causing history to regularly repeat itself. One of the main characters in the original is Rand al'Thor, a villager who is the reincarnation of a powerful hero, which is why only he can confront the Dark One threatening the established order.
