Tomb Raider: The Prophecy is, of course, the next installment of the adventures of the famous adventurer. Interestingly, this is not the first attempt to transfer the Tomb Raider universe to the screens of Nintendo's portable consoles. GameBoy Color console has seen several interesting products. The Prophecy, however, is the first title in the series to be released on Advance. At the same time, the game has undergone a number of improvements. One of the most serious changes, of course, concerns the quality and display of the graphics. Unlike the games released on GameBoy Color, in which the main character was observed from the side, this time we used a three-dimensional environment and isometric projection. This also translates, of course, into increased detail on the boards and a wider range of behaviours that can be used. UbiSoft is responsible for the production and release of the game. It is also worth mentioning that The Prophecy was created exclusively with a single player in mind.
Although the plot does not play an important role, it is nevertheless worth noting its presence. This time Lara tries to make the title prophecy come true. In order to do so, he has to find three magical stones. The main heroine has a total of 28 extended levels to overcome. The range of behaviours of the controlled character is at least impressive. The main character is able to perform various jumps and evasions, swim, grab higher edges, or use ropes and pillars. As befits Tomb Raider, we also have to deal with numerous traps, which should be avoided at all costs. There were also more or less complicated riddles. Usually it is necessary to run a machine or find an object needed to open a passage leading to the next map.
The main character is not defenseless, of course. During the game we can use one of several different givers. These include pistols and Uzi carbines. There were also hidden objects, such as an exceptionally powerful golden pistol. Different opponents stand in our way. These are animals (wolves, bears, bats) as well as magical creatures (sorcerers or animated troublemakers). In addition, in a few places you come across quite standard bosses. The control of the figure has been simplified, however, giving a lot of control over the behavior of the title lady archaeologist.
