Pro Cycling Manager 2020 / Tour de France 2020 is another part of the famous cycle of sports strategy games in which we play the role of a cycling team manager. The game was developed by the authors responsible for the previous parts, Cyanide Studio. The publisher is Nacon.

Mechanics

The goal of the game is to lead a professional cycling team as its manager. It is worth noting that thanks to the licenses in Pro Cycling Manager 2020 we are dealing with teams and riders known from the real world. We have over two hundred races at our disposal, with a few novelties that are difficult to find in the previous edition (e.g. full of hills and difficult climbs Liege-Bastogne-Liege).

The game consists, among other things, of organizing player trainings and recruiting talents. It is also necessary to sign contracts with advertisers and take care of the financial side of the business. In the career mode we also have to take care of our athletes' morale - their mental condition will influence their performance in further races. What's more, they can make requests to us - to accept or refuse them can have a certain effect.

The game is characterized by a high level of realism. The skills of the various riders have been faithfully reflected here, similar to the weather conditions or characteristics of the individual routes. During the game we have to take into account, among other things, the slope of the route, the strength of the wind, as well as the posture and condition of a given rider. The high level of difficulty is ensured by advanced artificial intelligence, which has been significantly improved compared to the previous installment.

To make it easier to manage individual elements of the game, the creators of Pro Cycling Manager 2020 completely redesigned the user interface. In addition, the new race planning system makes it easier to manage team members.

Game modes

In Pro Cycling Manager 2020 we can play alone or with others. The basis of the game is the campaign mode, but we can also play in the Pro Cyclist mode, in which we play the role of a specific rider and gradually develop his skills and career. Online multiplayer fans can compete with fifteen other users.

Technical aspects

Pro Cycling Manager 2020 has a decent, three-dimensional graphic design. Graphics do not stand out and is not characterized by an extraordinary level of realism, but fulfill it basic task - to provide the player with all the information needed to make key decisions.
