Transformers: The Game Description
Transformers: The Game is an adaptation of Activision's 2007 American film superproduction, based on the license of the extremely popular Transformers universe. Although the product makes extensive use of the film screenplay, it also gives us a considerable degree of freedom, especially when it comes to choosing robots or demolishing the environment.
We start the game from choosing the side of the conflict, which has a significant impact on the overall gameplay. The two factions offer separate, self-contained campaigns and fictional envelopes. Deciding on Autobots' missions (at the disposal of Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee, among others), the gameplay reflects the events contained in the original film screenplay to a slightly greater extent, and our main goal is to defend the beloved planet Earth from hostile robots. However, if we are more fond of the evil side, we choose the Deceptikon campaign (Megatron, Barricade, Starscream and others) and take part in a series of slightly more hypothetical fictional missions, the positive fulfilment of which can have a decisive impact on the fate of the celestial planet. Thrown into the vortex of events, the player has the opportunity to visit places known from the film and take part in the most significant battles from the big screen. It is worth noting, however, that the plot does not impose on the user the way in which he has to deal with the assigned tasks, on the contrary - it requires from him a certain amount of inspiration and ingenuity in performing "duties" (we are dealing here rather with a solution reminiscent of e.g. Crackdown or GTA).
The program is maintained in quite a standard convention of the action game, so it abounds in direct clashes between good and bad transformers. Of course, the player must learn to make the right use of the advantages and properties of the robot he or she directs - each of them can at any time turn into his or her own alternative form, receiving a completely new palette of special skills. Efficient and skillful use of the unique features of these outstanding machines directly affects the effectiveness of the clashes. Another very original and innovative factor arrives here - the terrain and, more specifically, the objects appearing on it. As we know, the action largely takes place in a big city, and given the size and power of transformers, almost every vehicle, building or installation can easily be razed to the ground by them. But nothing stands in the way of taking advantage of the local environment and, for example, increasing your combat capabilities - every pole, car or tree can be lifted and used as a weapon, whether it is a thrower or a melee weapon. A similar use can be made of the machines of the hostile fraction.
