An action game based on the popular comic series published by Marvel Comics. The game was developed by High Moon, studio known mostly for its Transformers games. The story of Deadpool: The Video Game focuses mostly on the antics of the sarcastic protagonist. The mercenary is trying to have his revenge on Mr. Sinister who caused Deadpool to fail in completing one of his contracts.

Licensed on Marvel Comics Deadpool: The Video Game for PC, PS4 and etc. is a joint work of High Moon studio and Activision company. This is also the first full-size game completely focused on to the title character (previously Deadpool appeared as a secondary character in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Spider- Man: Shattered Divisions).

Story

The script was written by Daniel Way, co-author of comic books series such as Wolverine: Origins, Deadpool, and Starr the Slayer. The story begins with kidnapping the employees of High Moon studios. The kidnapper turns out to be Deadpool, who demands from the developers to create the best superhero game possible with himself as the lead character.

During the game, players follow the adventures of the hero who takes the job to kill Chance White, a corrupt media magnate. However, his plans get interrupted by Mister Sinister, which costs Deadpool a lot of money. The mercenary wants revenge. Therefore he agrees to cooperate with the X-Men and is sent to Genosha, an island of mutants, where Sinister headed to collect new DNA in order to create an army.
