The independent studio Resurgent, which is behind the shooter titled Transience described here, decided to capture the "spirit" of iconic games from the first decade of the 21st century. Their inspirations are reflected both in the storyline and in the mechanics of this production, which combines gameplay typical of an FPS with stealth elements.

Gameplay

In Transience the action is viewed from a first-person perspective (FPP). The game is divided into missions, during which we complete assigned objectives, explore diverse locations (from interiors to skyscraper rooftops), and eliminate encountered enemies.

Arsenal

We dispose of enemies using a wide range of firearms. The game implements the NWS (New World Systems) system, allowing extensive modification of individual weapons by exchanging various components and attachments. Thanks to this, it is possible to transform a submachine gun into an assault rifle or the latter into a sniper rifle. By finding caches scattered throughout the locations, we unlock new guns and attachments for them.

Suit

That's not all, as the main character is also equipped with a modern Novaskin combat suit. It provides protection against bullets and offers access to a range of gadgets, including a light pulse that blinds enemies, a tool to distract them, and night vision enabling sight in the dark.

Stealth

A frontal attack on enemies is often not the best choice here. Sometimes a more effective approach is sneaking behind their backs and hiding in the shadows or ventilation shafts, and taking out targets by surprise.
