Valdis Story: Abyssal City is a 2D open planking machine with an open world structure. The game was developed by an independent studio Endless Fluff Games, the same band that created Legend of the Fae.

Forty years before the action, the Dark Goddess Myrgato killed her mother Valdis. This crime led to the outbreak of war between Myrgato and her twin sister, the Goddess of Light Alagath. This conflict has devastated the world and most of the inhabitants of the land have been forced to speak on one side. The player takes on the role of a warrior named Wyatt, whose father spent most of his life looking for a way to end the War of the Goddesses. Eventually, however, he failed and the duty to complete this mission fell on the shoulders of his son. Following his father's advice, Wyatt and his companions find themselves in the ruins of the forgotten city of Sitheil, where he hopes to find answers to his questions.
