W.A.T.E.R.: Online is a futuristic thriller designed for Internet gameplay. It is 3523, and our planet has been turning into a great desert burned by the sun for thousands of years. The humanity we know today does not exist. The population is dying out, and only a few live in special underground enclaves called "Coolers". They were created by UGAN (Unified Global Association of Nations) organizations to save the elite of our civilization (scientists, etc.) and are the last source of natural water on Earth. Each has its own name and is located in a different place, i.e. Gakkel (North Pole), Nome (Alaska), Umea (Sweden), Akita (Japan), Gonder (Ethiopia). Ordinary people were sentenced to death from exhaustion. However, not everyone has come to terms with this and some are trying to get to the underground shelters (Coolers) and use the water on their own. Unfortunately, the great ones in this world have created a well-equipped and trained group called W.A.T.E.R., whose task is to defend the last water resources against any threats.
Players become the poor ones condemned to garbage. The goal is survival. Everyone must ensure their survival by penetrating into one of the five zones. There he or she can develop and advance socially, buy new and growing territories (Living Quarter), develop his or her family (guild), perform various tasks (quests) for UGAN and W.A.T.E.R., as well as trade, give political contributions and steal if necessary. He can also take part in numerous battles and battles and travel around the world. The ultimate goal of the game is to gain control over all "cold stores".
