We Were Here Together is the third installment of a series of original co-op logic games for two people. Like the previous parts of the series, the production was developed by the independent studio Total Mayhem Games.
In We Were Here Together we play the role of researchers stationed in the Arctic wilderness, who notice a flare during a snowstorm, and hear a cry for help on the radio. The protagonists decide to move and attempt to help the stranger, but they are separated along the way. When they both reach the opposite wings of the Castle Rock castle, their primary goal is to find their way out.
As in previous editions of the cycle, We Were Here Together shows the action from the first person perspective (FPP). The game is based on a proven scheme, so during the game we travel around various locations and solve puzzles modelled on those that can be seen in popular escape rooms. The key to success is close cooperation between the players - although they do not see each other, they can communicate through walkie-talkies in order to convey important information about ways of solving the puzzle. The challenge is made more difficult by the fact that the fortress is full of dangers that can easily be the end of our characters.
We Were Here Together was developed strictly with the online co-op mode in mind.
We Were Here Together's three-dimensional graphics are of decent quality, they have been maintained in a characteristic, slightly caricatured style. The title requires the players to have a microphone.
