Wild Assault puts heavy emphasis on instincts and unique characteristics of various animal species. The characters can also use all four limbs to move faster.
Wild Assault is an online shooter that allows us to transform into anthropomorphic animals. The game was developed by the Chinese team Combat Cat Studio.
In Wild Assault we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP).
The pillar of the game are multiplayer battles involving twenty-person teams. The tasks set for us during the game include capturing fortresses, defending points on the map, or simply eliminating enemies. The key to success is cooperation between team members.
The game gives us a range of animal characters at our disposal. They were differentiated not only in terms of appearance, but also preferred weaponry, as well as abilities inspired by animal instincts and individual characteristics of each species.
Interestingly, although we move on two legs most of the time, we can increase the mobility of a certain animal by running on all four. This allows us to move faster, but we lose access to weapons and essentially become defenseless.
The game allows us to choose a character class. We can focus on offensive actions as a trooper or a sniper, or concentrate on supporting our colleagues in the squad by taking on the role of a medic.
The same applies to weapons - both fans of keeping enemies at a safe distance and players who prefer to act on the front line will find something for themselves here. Not all animals can make use of every type of weapon. For example, only larger specimens (like a bear) can use heavy guns.
Wild Assault is exclusively about multiplayer gameplay over the Internet, in which members of individual teams cooperate with each other, competing for victory against other teams.
The graphic design of Wild Assault is maintained in a style reminiscent of Pixar cartoons.
