Winter Games is another sports game by Epyx, which appeared at PeCetach in 1986. This time the authors decided to touch upon the subject of winter sports and combine them into a series of competitions held on the model of the Olympics.

The program allows up to eight people gathered at the same computer to play, who give their samples in a fixed order at the beginning. The standard gameplay includes a full program of the championships with the following competitions: ski acrobatics, biathlon, fast skating, figure skating on ice (in two variants - compulsory and free program), ski jumping and bobsleighing. There is also an option of free choice of disciplines and practices - the latter may prove useful before the right competition. Depending on the competition, each player has several attempts to achieve the best possible result. Based on the data collected, medals are awarded in three colours (gold, silver and bronze), which are counted for general classification. The game archives all obtained user records.

The gameplay in Winter Games has a typically arcade character and usually boils down to a regular hitting the cursor keys. The great advantage of the game is the variety of disciplines, which require appropriate exercises in order to obtain the best possible results. A good example of this is figure skating on ice, which allows you to present the numerous elements of dance, achieved by pressing pre-defined key combinations.

The game offers simple visuals (four-colour CGA mode) and PC Speaker sound. Despite the fact that the performance on the knees is not overwhelming, it is still a huge playable production, mainly due to the above mentioned variety of other sports disciplines.
