Wizardry 6: Bane of the Cosmic Forge Description
Wizardry: Bane of the Cosmic Forge is the next, sixth part of the already popular series of classic RPG games by the American studio Sir-Tech. The game combines series-specific solutions with a whole host of improvements and new features.
The plot of the game is based around a magical pen that can turn words into reality, and everything that is written with it immediately becomes a fact. According to legend, the creator of the unusual artifact is a sorcerer who once lived with the king and queen in a gloomy, now abandoned castle. No one knows what happened in this place over the years, although it is openly said in the area that the fortress is haunted. A player-controlled team of daredevils enters the fortress with the intention of discovering the truth about the magical feather and the former inhabitants of the castle.
The general assumptions of the game refer to the classic scenes of the Wizard series, and for the six-person team of daredevils await extensive dungeons and underground, filled with various monsters, with which we fight in turn-based system. However, the whole thing has been significantly expanded. During the fight, completely new possibilities have emerged, such as pushing and hitting. The magic is divided into six different schools, and the skills of the thrower increase when we focus on the development of one of them. In addition, activities such as disarming traps or opening locks were carried out in the form of simple mini-games.
The breeds known from previous editions of the cycle, such as man, elf, dwarf, hobbit or gnome, were joined by a completely new Lizardman, similar to a Felpurr cat or similar to a Rawulf dog. The number of available classes has also been enriched by adding such classes as Walkiria, Alchemik, Psionik, Nina, Samurai or Monk. Of course, the system of character development itself has also been expanded, which can acquire abilities useful not only in combat, but also during exploration. In terms of binding, Wizardry VI is the first game in the series, offering full colour graphics and the ability to operate with a mouse.
