Immortals Fenyx Rising: Typhon the Corruptor boss - how to defeat?
Last update:
On this page of the Immortals Fenyx Rising game guide, you will learn how to defeat Typhon the Corruptor, one of the main bosses in the game. He appears near the end of The Spider's Web quest.
You'll fight Typhon twice. Once at the start of the quest and the second time at the very end.
1st encounter

Typhon will initiate his attack by flying into the air. Upon landing, he will create a wave that will head in your direction. To avoid it, jump over it. Make sure not to get too close to Typhon, as he will temporarily conjure a damage-dealing aura under him.

Typhon can also perform an attack that cannot be parried. He stomps his foot on the ground, creating an explosion around it. Instead of moving away from him, run towards his other leg.

Additionally, Typhon will use his tentacle to attack you. This move is dangerous, because he's able to hit the player's character even when they are behind him. It's a good idea to perform a perfect dodge, because the attack lasts a while.

In general, sticking to his feet will allow you to dodge most of his abilities. Typhon is slow and, due to his large stature, he will find it difficult to hit the player character if they stay close to him. This will allow your character to perform long combos.
2nd encounter
You'll once again face Typhon near the end of the Vault of Typhon. The fight will be intertwined with cutscenes. After sufficiently lowering his health, the Gods will start helping you in your fight against Typhon by severely damaging him.

In addition to his previously described attacks, Typhon gains the ability to summon tentacles across the entire arena. By thrusting his tentacled hand into the ground, Typhon will create multiple tentacles that will attack you on the spot. It's a good idea to avoid them, as they will disappear moments later.

When his health reaches about 70%, he will start calling on his minions to aid him.

When Typhon buries his hands into the ground, his two heads will fire lasers at you. Watch out for this attack, as it deals a lot of damage. However, it is easily avoided. Once you've dodged the lasers, head towards him and start attacking.

When Typhon's health drops to zero, he will disappear from the arena. He will begin to summon more and more powerful creatures. Only after you defeat them all will he reappear.

Typhon can also fly into the air, creating gusts of wind as he moves backwards. He will repeat this attack twice. Watch out for the gusts of wind he creates with every wing beat.
You can mostly stick to the same tactics as earlier. Stay near Typhon and attack his legs while keeping an eye out for the attacks of the other opponents.
