Large supplies of food and fuel will allow you to focus on providing them with additional attractions, such as a tavern, marketplace, or church. Access to public buildings will also have a positive impact on your popularity. Pay attention to the requirements of residents, visible after clicking on burgage plots. Meeting these requirements will not only help you upgrade the houses, but also boost the approval.

Ignoring their needs, failing to provide basic resources, and exposing them to bandit attacks will also lead to a negative reputation among the residents. A ratio lower than 25% will trigger emigration and the departure of families from the village, and when combined with low levels of law and order, it could steer some families towards a path of banditry.
