Despite fantastic reception of Baldur's Gate 3, Larian Studios is not idle and continues to improve various aspects of its flagship game. Proof of the extraordinary commitment of the developers is the latest hotfix (#9), which went to the hit RPG.

The announcement published by the Belgian studio on Steam reveals that the developers have finally addressed the issue of changing the appearance of our mercenaries. From now on, we will be able to personalize them using a magic mirror. In addition to their appearance, their names can also be edited.

At the same time, the creators emphasize that there are restrictions such as in the case of changes to the main characters. In other words, it will not be possible to choose a different race and gender or origin of the character.

Not only personalization

In addition to the function of modifying our mercenarie , the new patch also fixes a number of glitches. Here are some of them:

  1. fixed a bug that caused the GPU to freeze on PS5 with Vulkan API;
  2. fixed a bug related to split-screen mode on PS5, which could cause a black screen when listening to dialogue;
  3. fixed malfunctioning of selected items and character animations when skipping lines in some dialogues;
  4. fixed displaying character underwear in some intimate scenes, even when nudity was enabled;
  5. fixed incorrect operation of the preview in accessibility options.
