Civilization 6 Will Soon Host Rulers of the Sahara, Including Ramses the Great

New great leaders will soon appear on the pages of history written by Civilization 6 players. Among the available rulers we will see, among others, Ramses II.

We are just a few days away from the debut of new leaders in Sid Meier's Civilization VI. As part of the Lords of the Sahara DLC Ramses II called the Great, Cleopatra the Great, and the leader of the Empire of Mali - Sundiata Keita - will appear in the game. All this as part of the fourth leader pack, Rulers of Sahara, which will expand the Leaders Pass on February 16.

New leaders on the horizon

Ramses the Great, considered one of Egypt's most powerful rulers, is returning to the Pharaoh's throne. The character has appeared in almost all installments of the series so far, except for the third one, where Egypt was ruled by Cleopatra.

While we're at it, let's lean a bit on the most famous female ruler of Egypt. Cleopatra already appears in the game as the initial leader of her state, but Cleopatra of the Ptolemaic dynasty of Hellenistic-era Egypt may be the queen who will strike slightly different tones in the gameplay.

Previous Cleopatra emphasizes a strong military and trade, while Cleopatra of the Ptolemaic dynasty may follow policies more focused on city building and culture.

In addition to the Egyptian leaders, the new pack of rulers also includes Sundiata Keita, the ruler of the African Empire of Mali. To enjoy the gameplay as the ruler of the Malian kingdom, however, you need to own the Gathering Storm DLC.

As part of the Leader Pass, the sixth Civilization already received such figures as Julius Caesar, Abraham Lincoln, Suleiman the Magnificent and Qin Shi Huang (as part of January's Rulers of China Pack). The cost of this pass is around $10, and it is available both on Steam, as well as on Epic Games Store. The content of this, as well as all other passes, is free for owners of Civilization 6: Anthology, which includes all expansions for the game.

New leaders are coming to the sixth Civilization in just a few days, on February 16. We wish fans of the Saharan sands the best of luck.
