ETS2 and ATS With Better Visuals Thanks to Project Next-Gen, but There's a Catch

Visuals in American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 may seem outdated to some. The following modification can help in this matter: Project Next-Gen (PNG) introduces photorealistic graphics to both simulators. It doesn't do it for free, however.

The modification changes textures throughout the game world, both in ATS and ETS2. Furthermore, PNG is updated all the time, and the trailer of the latest version, 1.05 is available below.

The sky textures, lighting and weather have been changed. In addition, the appearance of roads, sidewalks, barriers, buildings, and much, much more has been improved. It is worth noting that PNG includes not only the basic version of ETS2. Better texture quality will also be experienced in the following DLCs:

  1. Italia
  2. Vive la France!
  3. Road to the Black Sea
  4. The Baltic Sea Route

Quic pro Quo

Photorealistic visuals in ETS2 and ATS have its price, however. Well, Project Next-Gen is not a free modification, which you will find on NexusMods or other websites dedicated to mods for the truck simulators. The project can be purchased by making a PayPal transfer to the account of DamianSVW, and then contacting the creator through Facebook.

  2. Project Next-Gen for ETS2 - 20 euro

You buy the mod once, and all following updates are free. So you do not have to worry about additional costs. Finally, it is worth mentioning that Project Next-Gen is compatible with the last two versions of ATS and ETS2 - 1.43 and 1.44.
