Early access release of Gray Zone Warfare was a surprise for fans. The game was released on 30.04. One of the hot topics related to this title is factions. We have presented them in a separate article. However, some questions persist. For example, many players wonder if it will be possible to change them. Let’s talk about it.

How to Change Factions in Gray Zone Warfare (GZW)

For some time after the GZW release, it was impossible to change factions. The original plan was to allow players for changing sides only after a global wipe every few months. However, many players were displeased by this. Hearing their voices, developers have decided to rework this troublesome feature.

Now, it is possible to wipe your account anytime you wish. The proper button is on the starting screen, in the bottom right corner. You have to remember that while resetting an account allows to change factions, at the same time it will remove all your progress. Moreover, there is a 1-hour cooldown between wipes. So, think twice before you decide to do it.

How to play with friends from different factions in GZW

To play with friends, you have to be from the same faction. So, the answer to the above headline is: you can’t. This was quite a substantial problem, when accounts couldn’t be wiped because if friends were in the opposite teams, they were unable to play together. Now, once the change in the feature was implemented, it is not as problematic as it used to be.
