Into the Necrovale - basic information
In Into the Necrovale we will be exploring the vast dungeon which serves as a prison. The combat will resemble solutions from classic PC hack-n-slash RPGs, such as the Diabloseries, but the structure of the gameplay is to be modeled on games like Hades and Dead Cells. After completing each stage, we will choose where to go next between two paths leading to regions of different nature - some of them will focus on battles, and others will enable us to, for example, improve our stats or meet NPCs.
Death will make it necessary to start the dungeon conquest all over again. However, we will not lose all progress. This is because during the course of the game we will unlock so-called stones of hope, which will allow for permanent access to additional upgrades and regions of the dungeon.
The eponymous dungeon, or Necrovale, is to be filled with various relics left behind by those who died in the underworld, such as weapons, armor, shields, staffs, jewelry, totems, hats or books. In total, we will find several hundred such items during the game, and all of them are expected to significantly affect the gameplay, with the game designed to encourage us to experiment with different combinations.
