The PlayStation has received firmware update numbered 23.01-07.20.00. The update improves the performance and stability of the console OS and probably many other minor things.

Sony has published a new firmware version for the PlayStation 5 console. The update is numbered 23.01-07.20.00, weighs 1.15 GB and is available for download. Almost traditionally, the description of the fixes includes familiar phrases:

"We have improved the performance and stability of the system software.

We improved messages and usability on some screens.

We updated the DualSense Edge wireless controller software to improve stability."

PS5 Software Update 23.01-07.20.00 probably also fixes a number of other minor bugs that have not yet been described. Also worth mentioning is that the DualSense Edge controller has also received a firmware update.

As a rule, updates install automatically. If this is not the case, you can force their installation. To do so, it's worth reading the instructions on this page. During the update process, you may need to restart the device.
