Sony May be Preparing a Surprise Before of PS5 Pro (Rumor)

Tom Henderson announced that Sony is preparing a mysterious device that we will see before the release of the PS5 Pro.

PlayStation 5 continues to sell like crazy, and Sony is said to have plans for a Pro version. However, well-known journalist Tom Henderson is preparing us for a mysterious announcement of a new device.

Sony plans to launch new device

The acclaimed gaming industry insider, during one of his streams, touched on Sony's future plans. According to his sources, the Japanese manufacturer, in addition to working on the PS5 Pro, is also supposed to be preparing another device, but at this point no details about it have been revealed. Its release is expected to take place even before the debut of the more powerful variant of the console.

"When the new hardware is announced, it will be very interesting to watch - what the competition will think of it," Tom Henderson said.

"And it was not an April Fools' Day joke," Henderson added.

The most important thing remains in question - what exactly will it be? That is expected to become clear in the next few months. Henderson does not directly name PlayStation, but he is unlikely to mean anything else. This information, of course, should be taken with a pinch of salt, and we must wait for official reports. Perhaps rumors of a PS5 with a detachable drive or docked headphones with the PlayStation logo will be confirmed. There is also another option, assuming that Sony has some hidden ace up its sleeve (PS Vita 2?).

As for the details - the appearance of PS5 Pro is not expected to lower the price of the base version. The new console is expected to appear soon along with the announcement of a PS5 version with a detachable drive later this year. The launch of PS5 Pro itself is expected to take place in 2024. What do you think of this rumor? Are you expecting a new PlayStation Vita console? Or something more standard?
