Fans of Team Fortress 2 have reason to be happy. The game has just received the Scream Fortress XV update, introducing a title event that will last until November 7, 2023. There are many new features and attractions waiting for the players to get into the Halloween mood.

  1. Players can now play on 12 newly added maps created by the community, including Perks, Slime, Lava Pit, Mannsylvania, Sandcastle, Spineyard, Corruption, Murky, Atoll, Woods, Sanitarium and Devastation.
  2. Bone-Chilling Bonanza Cases have also been introduced, bringing 25 new community-created cosmetic items to the game.
  3. 4 new community-created taunts have been added and are available at the Mann Co. store.
  4. 20 new community-created unusual effects have also been introduced - 13 of them are for unusual hats, and the remaining 7 are effects for unusual taunts.
  5. All players who launch the game during the event will receive a Gargoyle, if they don't already have one. It allows for access to Merasmissions (contracts awarded during the event) and transmutation of Halloween items.
  6. All Halloween contracts have been reset, so missions can be performed again. In addition, new contracts have been introduced for this year's community maps.
  7. In addition to the Halloween innovations, the update also brings a number of general changes aimed at improving the game's quality. These changes include improvements to loading times, fixing the ghost_pumpkin effect for the Toothless Headless Horseman, and various bug fixes.

The update has been received very warmly - yesterday on Steam, the activity record was 200,363 concurrent users. This is almost three times as many as on the same day last week.
