Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - Bright Dust Explained

Bright / Red Dust are very rare materials in Warhammer: Vermintide 2. In this guide you will learn how you can get them and what they are used for.

In Warhammer: Vermintide 2 you can get many items, however, upgrading them to the highest rarity requires materials called Bright or Red Dust. In this guide you will learn how you can get this material.

What is Bright / Red Dust?

Among other things, this material is used to upgrade Exotic level items (orange gear) into Veteran level items (red gear). It was introduced in order to be get the highest quality items in the game more easily. Therefore, if you want to upgrade an item to its maximum value, you should collect Red Dust (this is exactly the same as Bright Dust) in your inventory. This component will be very important later in the game.

How to get Bright / Red Dust?

You can obtain the rarest material needed to get the highest quality items, i.e. Veteran level items, only through one way. If you already have some red items in your inventory that you will not use, take advantage of the Salvage Items option, which will enable you to get many components in the game, not just Red Dust.

This option will enable you to destroy items (a maximum of 9 at one time) to reclaim materials. As a result, Scraps and Dust will appear in your inventory (depending on the rarity of the item you destroyed). You will only get Red Dust when you use the Salvage option, using Red Items. For one such item, you will receive one to two Red Dust.

At this point there is no other way to get Red Dust. Remember that to get a new Red Item, you will need as many as five Red Dust to do so.
