What is Warhammer Darktide? This Trailer Explains It All

Gamers anticipating or unfamiliar with the latest Warhammer game can watch an extensive trailer explaining its most important aspects. Interestingly, the beta for pre-orderers is already under siege by fans.

Official launch of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will take place in a week's time, but fans are already playing the beta version, available after purchasing the game via preorder. The title is attracting a lot of interest, which encouraged the developers to publish a 7-minute trailer, which discusses all the most important issues also aimed at new players.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide - trailer analysis

The trailer can be viewed on YouTube. It outlines the game's plot - its action takes place on the desert planet Atoma Prime, ruled by a cult of mad heretics. The trailer offers mainly first-person gameplay footage, which includes a cooperative mode for four players simultaneously. The title features a complex class system, a multitude of weapons with rich stats, as well as intense gameplay using close combat (melee weapons) and ranged skirmishes. The title will also offer an extensive equipment upgrade system.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will debut on November 30 on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series S/X (Microsoft Store for $39.99). The title will simultaneously be available in Game Pass.

Preorder with great results

Pre-ordering the game gives you access to the beta version. According to stats on Steam, depending on the time of day, the number of players oscillates between 25,000 and 60,000. At its peak, as many as 79,112 users were playing the game at the same time. Of the approximately 11,300 user reviews on Steam, as many as 73% are positive.
