Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a co-op FPS from the Fatshark studio specializing in online games. The developers have previously worked on such games as the Warhammer: Vermintide series, War of the Roses, Escape Dead Island or Hamilton's Great Adventure.

Plot

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is set in the hive city of Tertium on the planet Atoma Prime, which Admonition, a cult of mad heretics, is trying to take over. The four heroes, together with the Inquisition forces, must confront Chaos and stop the bloodthirsty horde of living corpses and save the inhabitants from extermination.

Mechanics

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a classic first-person co-op shooter, so the game focuses primarily on shooting or eliminating demonic enemies. Players must cooperate with each other during the sweep of the location and the extermination of the hordes.

Game modes

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was created for online co-op (for up to four people), but the developers also made it possible to play in single player mode, where the remaining characters are controlled by artificial intelligence.

Technical aspects

The game is based on a significantly improved original engine, based on the Autodesk Stingray, known from Warhammer: Vermintide 2, and offers an atmospheric visual setting, maintained in a dark tone that matches the Warhammer world. Also noteworthy are the locations made with attention to detail.
