Observer: Examine apartment and hack into Amir Nowak's mind

After scanning the implant confirm that you want to hack Amir Nowak’s mind.

That objective becomes available right after entering apartment 104, which turns out to be another crime scene. Automatically, the other mission objective, related to apartment 106, gets canceled, as you confirm that it was Helena who made the call.

After entering the room you can start by scanning the blood stains and another Chiron card. Open the drape and go to the apartment’s main room to find Amir Nowak dying. This is an opportunity to use the mind hacking device. Scan the implant in Amir’s head and press the appropriate button to hack it.

This is the first time that you play through a series of scenes that represent memories of another person, their nightmares to be more precise (and are thus pretty chaotic). In this case, peering into Amir’s mind constitutes no risk to the main hero. However, in some sequences of the kind later in the game it is possible to have the adventure ended abruptly and see the Game Over screen.

The journey through Amir’s mind is entirely linear – each time you reach a destination point or listen to a conversation you are automatically directed to another scene. A bit more problematic is the part visible in the picture above. When you reach it, use only the passages displayed on the monitors. Later on you get to a room with showers. Approach them to push them back. Fortunately, if you fall down the game will not be over – you will simply be brought back to a stable ground.

After returning to the real world it is necessary to perform synchronization, because peering into Amir’s mind has weakened the protagonist. Before you pursue another main objective it is a good idea to complete a new optional objective, which is related to further examination of Helena Nowak’s apartment.

Just like you did in the previous situation of the kind, use all alternative vision modes, so it was easier for you to find clues and scan them. These are the objects you can scan: blood stains (in several places), a speech synthesizer, heart valve (scan the specific part of Amir’s body – the picture above), medical inhaler, hair, two holo-frames, a credit card and computer (you can browse e-mails and a CV). There is also synchrozine in the apartment as well as a collectible picture.
