Pokemon Moon: Welcome to Melemele

Time to wake up. Adventure calls!

After a short introduction, after you have created your character and watched a short cutscene, you wake up in your bed. You receive information that you have moved to Alola region. First, get up and go to mom. After a short conversation, you will head the doorbell. You will meet professor Kukui, who will introduce you into the world of Pokemons. After the conversation, return to your room and open the box with Poke Ball on it, where there is a hat and a bag. After you put these on, leave the house and follow the professor. Finally, you will learn that you have to find Kahuna. Climb up the stairs and watch the cutscene. Then, follow the white girl into the forest. After a while, you will have to run onto the bridge to rescue a pokemon. After the cutscene, you will travel to the location where you find Kahuna.

And which one to choose...

It's time to pick your first pokemon. There are three options to pick from:

1. Rowlet - A grass pokemon (later into the game, it will turn into grass-flying)
2. Litten - A fire pokemon (later into the game, it will turn into fire-dark)
3. Popplio - A water pokemon (later into the game, it will turn into water-fairy)

After you have picked your pokemon, you will also receive Pokedex and your Trainer's Passport. Afterwards, go back home. Along your way, you will fight your first battle with Hau. Do not worry, because it is easy, because your opponent picks a pokemon that is vulnerable to your one's attacks. After the battle, you will get back home. Next day, after several short conversations, leave and follow the professor. It is time to capture some pokemons!

Pokemons that you can capture on Route 1:

1. Pikipek
2. Yungoos
3. Ledyba
4. Pichu
5. Caterpie
6. Metapod
7. Spinarak

As soon as you decide you have had enough, take the poke ball and follow the road up ahead. In the meantime, collect items on the ground.

Along your path, you will encounter opponents that will fight with you.

1. Has Alolan Rattate, level 3.
2. Your next opponent is a girl with Caterpie, level 3.
3. The last opponent before you reach the festival is Olivier. He has Yungoos, level 4.

After a short conversation with Hala, go to Hau, whom you can find opposite. You will fight a battle with him, but this time he has two pokemons:

1. Pichu, level 6
2. Rowlet/Litten/Popplio (depending on your choice), level 7

After you win, you will receive Z-Ring. This is an innovation in Pokemon Moon and Sun and it provides you with access to new combination during battle. To learn more detailed information about the ring, see the chapter devoted to it, or find it later in this walkthrough. After a while, you will get back home, where you receive money from mom, after the night.

The professor's lab seems worn.

Your next task is to get to the professor's lab. It is in Hau'oli Outskirts. Along your path, you will be able to capture some more pokemons:

1. Wingull
2. Grubbin
3. Slowpoke

On the beach, there are some more people to fight:

1. Kevin has Grubbin, level 6.
2. Your next opponent is Lass Madison, with Wingull, level 6

In the lab, your Pokedex will be upgraded and "brought to life". You will gain access to world map. After the conversations, you now have to go to the school of trainers.
