Uncharted 2: Urban Warfare part 1, chapter 5 walkthrough

This page of the guide has a walkthrough for the first part of chapter 5 of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves called Urban Warfare. As the name suggests, this chapter is action-oriented and takes place in the city. However, you will also have to do a little bit of climbing to reach, for example, the roofs or upper floors of buildings.

The chapter opens with Drake running away from a vehicle. The game will instruct you how to act. If you stop shooting at the car, Nathan will die. The chase ends when you reach the streets. After a short cut-scene, you will have to kill the first three opponents. You start the fight behind a cover meaning you can take out the first enemy stealthily.

After all the enemies are dead, look around for a lantern with billboards. Climb the green chest to reach the signs, and then go to the next building. Then, climb the drainpipe and red bricks...

... to reach the front wall of the building. Jump towards the signs and enter the building through the smashed window. While inside, turn right and go outside through the hole in the wall. You reach the downed wooden beam. Move towards the next street light...

... swing and jump towards the next building. You will stand on an unstable floor - it will collapse as soon as Drake lands on it. Head in the direction of wooden cabinets (the ones against the green wall). Climb one of them (the one on the left) and jump on the partially destroyed ceiling to reach the floor above. Go up the stairs and climb more cabinets to reach the building's "rooftop".

A hostile helicopter will approach you (don't worry, it won't you). Also, an enemy will appear on the adjacent building. Kill him with a headshot and make your way to the place where that enemy stood [Strange Relic]. Jump towards the signs and air conditioners (shown on the right photo) to climb them and get to the street lights.

Swing and jump towards the balcony. From it, you have to walk on the beam to enter another destroyed building (you will find Wes-44, a useful weapon that kills opponents with one shot).

Jump down through the gap to the floor below and get ready for battle. The first two opponents can be easily defeated with a surprise attack (the right and left photo).

Hidden behind the obstacle and wait for the opponents to regroup, that is they stand in the same spot. This gives you a chance to finish them all at the same time (use a grenade).
