  1. Director : Guillermo del Toro
  2. Genre : animation
  3. Movie length : 1 hour 54 minutes
  4. Where to watch: Netflix

This fairy tale is progressive in terms of content, as well as the narration and handling of the Pinocchio story. The truth is that watching the latest animation from Guillermo del Toro ... you will not recognize your beloved Carlo Collodi fairy tale. What's more, this is not a downside at all - the author redefines the original story, adds an arc about fascist Italy and has excellent actors star for him. Thus, we get a marriage of perfect style and concise film themes.

One can only wonder if it is really a fairy tale for the youngest. After all, this is an animation from del Toro himself - so we have ghosts, bogeymen, the theme of death, the afterlife, explosions and dark sequences. If we follow this lead, it turns out that the director created an animation exclusively for adults. Is it something bad? Probably not - with time, the children become adults and so on!
