1. Small Description

Simple program that helps you keep track and easily swap mods without much work.

If file paths aren't set you will get errors but the program should continue running.

You can set paths in the program itself or by modifying the Settings.ini file.

You may have to run program as administrator if your game directory is found in a UAC protected location.

Since this is version 1.0 it does not contain error handling so if you do something that

might break the program it more than likely will break it. Next version should be more organized

and the restore function should work but for now make sure to back up original files in the Original

folder found in the Mods folder.

2. Placing new Mods

Placing new mods is easy all you do is place a folder named after the mod into your mods folder or folder you

specified to be Mod folder directory. After making the directory you place all files into that folder. Do not make

sub folders in the mod folder as this has not been added in yet. Also make sure files are named in lower-case letters.

Ex of a mod:

Mods folder: C:\Mods

New Folder Created: C:\Mods\Infinity Mode

Files placed in folder: C:\Mods\Infinity Mode\datafile.big

Files placed in folder: C:\Mods\Infinity Mode\fecmn.big

Files placed in folder: C:\Mods\Infinity Mode\str_en.bcs

Some original files have been included, these are found under the Original Folder in Mods folder. You could

place your backups in the Original folder. When Original is installed all files contained in that folder will be

installed into your DR2 Directory replacing any that may have been modded.

3. Using the program

The first time you run the program 2 Dialog boxes will pop up. The first is to set the directory for your

Dead Rising 2 Main Folder and the second will be to set the folder you wish to assign to be your mod folder.

Once that is done you will be ready to start using the program.

Buttons:

Install - This installs the mod you have selected from the list found on the left.

Refresh - This will refresh the list if you have made any modifications in the Mods folder.

Restore - Not available in 1.0.

Exit - Exit program

Tool strip:

File:

-Save Settings - This saves your settings if you change the directories

-Exit - Exit program

Change Directories:

-Dead Rising 2 Main Directory - Change DR2 Main directory location

-Mods Directory - Change Mods directory location

4. Included Files

These are all the files included

Mods\

Mods\Original\

Mods\Original\datafile.big

Mods\Original\str_en.bcs

Settings.ini - Contains information needed by the program to locate the directories

Locations.ini - Contains all information regarding the file and its location

5. Adding a new file that wont install

While this won't be necessary for most mods there are a some files I have not added into the list yet.

I was planning on making a cleaner format but for now this works out. To add a new file to the install

list you must add 2 new lines into Locations.ini All things added must be lower-case lettering. The format

must be followed and no new spacing must be added or it will mess it up.

Format to follow:

- file name

- file location destination

Ex.

datafile.big

data

fecmn.big

data\frontend

As you see you do not need to include the full path as the program does this it just needs to know the

destination it has to place the file in. In this case it adds into the Data folder found in

Dead Rising 2 and frontend folder which is found inside the Data folder. If this is too hard to understand

do not worry about it as you will most likely not be using these files.
