You will receive a new journal entry (The Flooded Tunnels). Your task here is to pump water over from one room to another. Climb up the stairs on the left and go into the left tunnel. Go straight ahead and turn right at the fork.You should reach a gate with number 2 on it.
Turn around and enter the tunnel. You will reach a room with a valve. Turn it to the right and, if you have done everything right, the water will start to be pumped, the lamp on the left will go on and the phone on the wall will ring.
Backtrack now. The grate to the numbered gate has been shut, but another one opened. Climb down.
While downstairs, go straight ahead, along the sewer with eels. You will return to the room with gate 1, along the path that used to be blocked off [1]. Cross the bridge towards the door that also used to be locked [2].
Go straight ahead, until you reach a tunnel with a defunct lamp. Follow it and go left. On the wall, there is another valve. The lamp on the left should be on. Turn the valve. The lamp on the right will go on and the water will start to be pumped. After the, your journal will be updated (Mandus, postdiluvian).
After you leave the room with the second valve, go right and go straight ahead. You will reach a round door. Turn the valve to open it.
Remember the pipes in the Cellar level? Time to have some more fun with that. This is what you have to do:
- Press the lever across the valves.
- Turn the left valve.
- Pull the lever between the valves.
- Turn the right valve.
- Pull the lever opposite the valves.
Each of the steps takes a moment to take, so wait for the cutscenes to end and perform the next action. After you have disbled the device, cross the passage.
Go straight ahead. At the table of pigs, you will receive a journal update (A Nest of Wretches). Go straight ahead along the passage and up the stairs. You will reach a door, where you enter a system of corridors full of doors. Each time, you can only open one door, so go simply ahead, until you find the right door. Finally, you will reach a ladder down. Take it.
You will reach a small labyrinth of popes and tunnels. It is not too complicated. You only have to climb down several ladders and you will eventually reach the door to the next area.
