Gate mechanism

Chapter: 1 - 74 Miles East of Otaheité.

Location: in front of a wooden gate separating the two parts of the jungle.

If you want your character to write down the note in their diary, you have to look into the empty mechanism. It is best to do this immediately after reaching the gate, so as not to get the necessary item. Otherwise, the character will automatically start the mechanism.

Clue

Location: in front of a wooden gate separating the two parts of the jungle.

The clue in the metal box is both a note and a journal entry. All you have to do is open the box and take the document.
