Infinite Loading Screen Fix is a mod for Fallout: New Vegas, created by Forsaken Nomad
Description:
The mod fixes a bug where it endlessly tries to load a save. The bug is due to the fact that the game engine does a poor job of using processor multithreading. This mod forces the use of only one thread during load times, and activates all of them again when the loading is complete.
Instructions:
There are two methods. You can install the mod using some manager such as Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 by loading the downloaded archive with the mod in this program.
Alternatively, you can install the project manually by extracting the archive to the game’s "Data" folder where you installed the game and activating it in the game launcher.
Note: the mod requires that you have New Vegas Script Extender (xNVSE) installed
